Community Service

I have done significant philanthropic work for people with special needs. While at Truman State University, I worked with my fraternity’s philanthropy, Push America, to build 8 access ramps onto local homes in the Kirksville area. The ramps allowed the occupants the opportunity to continue to live independently in their own homes. In 2009, I participated as a volunteer cyclist in Push America’s cross-country cycling event called “Journey of Hope.” During the trip, I cycled from Seattle, Washington to Washington, D.C. and helped raise over $500, 000 in an effort to raise funds and awareness for people with special needs.
