Davis received his bachelor’s degree in liberal studies with an emphasis in political science and communication from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and received his Juris Doctorate degree from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas. While in law school, Davis worked for a private firm specializing in criminal defense, where he gained experience in motion practice and developing criminal defense strategies. Davis assisted his criminal law professor in developing a college textbook chapter on qualified immunity and developed research regarding the duty to preserve evidence in criminal settings.
